Published May 09, 2016

Nazareth College is pleased to announce that Academic Counselor Joshua Hine has won a national Outstanding New Advisor Award - Primary Advising Role from National Academic Advising Association (NACADA). Hine will receive the honor at the national conference in Atlanta this October. Established in 1983, the NACADA Annual Awards Program for Academic Advising honors individuals and institutions making significant contributions to the improvement of academic advising.

“I feel so fortunate to work with such an amazing group of colleagues at the same school that meant so much to me as a student,” said Hine, a 2010 graduate from Nazareth with a bachelor’s degree in philosophy. “I'm honored and incredibly grateful for their recognition and all of the support from my students.”

NACADA is a representative and advocate of academic advising and those providing that service to higher education. NACADA provides a network and professional identity for the thousands of faculty, full-time advisors, and administrators whose responsibilities include academic advising.
