Three Nazareth students attend virtual CGI U conference and learn how to help communities during COVID-19

There is a silver lining for the three Nazareth College students that were selected to attend the 12th Annual Clinton Global Initiative University (CGI U) 2020. It was originally set at the University of Edinburgh, Scotland, from April 17-19 — the first international CGI U conference. While the in-person conference was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, CGI U worked hard to create a virtual CGIU at Home on Saturday, April 18. Virtual attendees will learn how student leaders can make a difference and help communities in need during the COVID-19 crisis.

Phi Kappa Phi Gives Nazareth National Honor of Excellence

The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi (PKP) recognizes outstanding chapters each year for their work through the Circle of Honor Chapter awards program, and Nazareth College has achieved Circle of Excellence Gold status for 2019-20. The Circle of Honor awards program recognizes chapters for their work in promoting excellence on the local campus and engaging the community of scholars each year. The Circle of Excellence Gold recognition also provides funding for students to attend PKP's Leadership Summit. Nazareth recently inducted its sixth class into the College's chapter of Phi Kappa Phi—the nation's oldest and most selective all-discipline honor society.
