Bonnie Choi of Nazareth University’s music faculty is selected as a 2025-26 Fulbright U.S. Scholar in France. Choi, associate music professor in professional practice and a musical theatre piano teacher, will research a book-length annotated bio-bibliography of French composer Cécile Chaminade.
Her Fulbright research will compile primary sources concerning Chaminade's music, written correspondence with associates, and performance history, plus include interviews with her descendants and her publisher. The bulk of this research will be conducted at the Bibliothèque nationale de France (research library).
Fulbright Scholar Awards are prestigious fellowships that offer scholars unique opportunities to teach and conduct research abroad, playing a critical role in U.S. public diplomacy.
