Nazareth University welcomes one of the largest collegiate athletic events of the year as the NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships take place this March 14-15 at the Golisano Training Center. With approximately 260 teams from across the country competing, the championship will bring together the top student-athletes in Division III for a showcase of speed, strength, and endurance.
The NCAA III Track & Field event is expected to draw more than 1,000 student-athletes, coaches, staff and parents to the Rochester area. The event is hosted by Nazareth University and Visit Rochester.
Student-athletes for this event are traveling to Rochester from around the country to compete in events including hurdles, high jump, pole vault, javelin, long jump, shot put, meter and relay races. Nazareth's 108,000-square foot Golisano Training Center, which opened in 2019, will be home to all competitive events.
This event is one of several NCAA Championships to take place in Rochester in the year ahead. In addition to the Division III Men's and Women's Indoor Track and Field Championships, Rochester will host the National Collegiate Women's Bowling Championship (April) and Division III Men's Golf Championships (May).
Fans, families, and track enthusiasts are encouraged to attend and support the next generation of track and field stars. Championships are open to the public; tickets are $13 for students and seniors, $15 for adults; and weekend passes are also available. Tickets can be purchased online via the Nazareth University.
For each men's individual event, including the heptathlon, the top 20 declared student-athletes qualify for the competition. The same applies to women's individual events, including the pentathlon, where the top 20 declared student-athletes are accepted. In relay events, the top 12 relay teams—limited to one per institution—earn a spot in the competition. The complete list of participants.
