Nazareth University’s School of Business and Leadership will be represented in Trieste, Italy, this summer as two of its students attend the X-Culture Global Business Week, Aug. 2-8. Recent Nazareth business leadership graduates Sophia Brown ’25 and Anthony Rozler ’26 are among 150 college students selected for the global conference from more than 6,000 students worldwide. Hosted at the University of Trieste and MIB Trieste School of Management, the week-long event features live consulting challenges with local international companies, academic sessions, and guided cultural tours.
X-Culture is a global collaborative of international business students consulting with real small and medium-sized businesses seeking to internationalize their products and services. Brown, of Massena, N.Y., and Rozler, of Lancaster, N.Y., earned their global consulting and collaboration certificate from X-Culture as part of the Senior capstone experience. They worked virtually with other college students from around the world to solve real global business challenges.
Based on their performance on their X-Culture teams and their own individual performance, they were selected to participate in the Global Business Week in Italy. They follow in the footsteps of Nazareth graduate Kyle Reid ’25, who attended the X-Culture event in Finland last year.
Jennifer S.A. Leigh, Ph.D., Nazareth School of Business and Leadership (SBL) professor, said, “I’m delighted for these two outstanding students to represent Nazareth University. Their hard work, persistence, openness to feedback, and collaborative skills during the 8-week sprint have allowed them the chance to have one of the best international experiential learning opportunities available. This is truly a transformational experience for students and faculty. I attended the event in 2023 in Lublin, Poland, and was amazed by everyone I met from across the globe. Speaking for the SBL faculty, we are proud of their selection and confident in their ability to succeed in the next round of competition with their skills and the foundational knowledge from our school and the core curriculum!”
