Digital analytics, user experience, content marketing, and strategic application of technologies are at the foundation of Bryan’s expertise as he helps startups and students alike in launching success in marketing. “What I love about digital marketing is the ability to observe user behavior in real time and then make adjustments to meet the specific needs of the consumer,” he said.
Data-focused, fluid, forward-thinking, and fun best describes Bryan’s approach to style of teaching and directing Nazareth’s grad program in Marketing Communications Leadership and undergrad program in Digital Marketing (new for 2023).
With a diverse track record of brand promotion, competitive analysis, target marketing, distributor development, and utilization of market data to develop programs for niche and growing markets, Rob leads teams in product launches, web design, product and brand consolidation, and lead development.
His teaching style is highly active, practical, and effective. “In my classes, you’ll learn by doing — role playing in new situations so that you can regularly practice the material we’re studying,” he said. “Along the way, you will add to your own ‘bag of tools,’ which equips you for success in the challenging scenarios of marketing communications work.”
An award-winning strategic advertising pro experienced in all forms of account support and media planning, she has been around long enough to know the theories behind solid media planning, yet adaptable and agile enough to know that curiosity is what gives her clients and her students the edge in today’s highly evolving communications culture.
Carrie specializes in communication integration, strategic planning, media strategy, audience/market research, social media and monitoring, negotiation, education, and intern mentoring.
A founder and retired partner of the Rochester based marketing communications firm Martino Flynn, Ray brings decades of tried and true leadership, entrepreneurship, public relations, and crisis communications expertise to his classes at Nazareth.
A man who lives his values every day, his inspiring commitment to the Rochester community is evidenced by the many volunteer positions he’s held with organizations such as Literacy Volunteers of Rochester (president), the Public Relations Society of America-Rochester Chapter (board member), and the Rochester Press-Radio Club (volunteer). Martino was the recipient of the PRSA-Rochester Chapter’s Sharleen M. Bruse Award, an esteemed award given to a member who epitomizes the integrity and professionalism of a public relations practitioner.
Brenda’s philosophy for teaching has always been a mix of theory and application. “I think both are important. Students need to understand the ‘why’ behind what they are learning alongside the ‘what.’ While learning from business professionals is an amazing approach, it should be supplemented with other ways of thinking and doing,” she said.
She’s cultivated her teaching in leadership with years of her own research and critical thinking focused on virtuous leadership, personality, authenticity, impression management, and political skills in organizations. In fact, her efforts earned a $152,000 grant from Canada’s Social Science and Humanities Research Council — the highest value grant possible to be awarded in Canada for social sciences.
What you learn in class is directly shaped by thought leaders and experts in the marketing and communications industry to prepare you for current and emerging workplace trends and demands.
