Upon completion, you will receive a confirmation email — sent to the email address provided on your application — with instructions to set up your Nazareth University admissions dashboard, where you can track your next steps.

4If applicable, schedule an audition or portfolio review

If you apply to certain acting, dance, music, or theatre majors, you are required to audition or submit a portfolio.

  • Even if you're not majoring in the visual or performing arts, you are encouraged to submit a portfolio or to audition to be considered for a scholarship.
  • Students applying to art programs do not have to submit a portfolio for acceptance, but like non-majors, can be considered for scholarships.

Frequently Asked Questions

What if I haven’t heard any response to my application?

If you didn't get an email confirmation that your application was received:

  • You may not have clicked the final step to submit your application.
  • We may not have correct contact information from you.
  • Our confirmation email could have ended up in your email spam folder.
How do I know whether my application is complete?

In the coming weeks, you can check the admissions dashboard to see whether Nazareth has received everything required (your application, letter(s) of recommendation, transcript, optional test scores).

For visual and performing arts applicants, the admissions dashboard also will show whether your portfolio submission or audition is complete.

Can I call and check the decision on my application?

We don't announce decisions by phone.

Your admissions decision will be in your admissions dashboard, and will be sent by U.S. mail. Nazareth begins mailing decisions on the notification dates listed above.

Can I submit more than one letter of recommendation?

One is required. Two are fine. No more than three.

When will I hear about financial aid?

You will hear about financial aid once you complete the FAFSA. Nazareth acts on processed FAFSA forms from the federal government as quickly as possible. We will notify you and update your Naz admissions dashboard when your offer is available.

What if I need to make a change after I apply?

After submitting your application, log into your admissions dashboard to change any of these items:

  • your academic major
  • your decision notification plan (early decision vs. regular decision)
  • whether you want Nazareth to consider your test scores in the admission decision
  • your mailing address

If you need to change something else, email apps_processing@mail.naz.edu.
