Launch of 2024-25 FAFSA form

There are major changes and improvements coming to the 2024-25 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form. As a result, the new form will be available in December 2023, not October 1. This launch date is only for the 2024-25 FAFSA form.

The changes to the FAFSA form for 2024-25 aid year include:

  • expanded eligibility for federal student aid
  • a more streamlined application process

Application Guidelines

  • Never leave spaces blank. Answer every required question, even if the answer is "0".
  • Carefully read and follow all instructions. Respond quickly to all requests from the Financial Aid Office. Remember: Even if your application is received by the priority date, you will not receive a financial offer if there are required outstanding documents.
  • Complete all forms using your full given name. Don't use nicknames.  Notify the Financial Aid Office and Registration & Records Office of any name change. The Social Security Administration should also be informed of any name changes.
  • Double-check your Social Security number.
  • Save copies of all forms and correspondence you submit, noting the dates they were sent. This way, you can refer to specifics when calling or writing about your application. Always keep copies of your tax return transcripts and W-2s.
