Professional Statement
Length: 400-500 words
Must articulate the professional readiness to undertake graduate social work education at this time including, but not limited to, academic preparation, relevant work history, level of self-awareness, professional goals, and any additional related information. This statement must represent your own original work and reflect your individual perspectives and experiences.
Letters of Recommendation
Two professional letters of recommendation must be provided.
Recommendation letters must address readiness for graduate level education, professionalism, and adherence to social work ethics.

2. Request official transcripts from each college you attended.

- If you attended Nazareth, the Office of Graduate Admissions will obtain your transcript upon receipt of your application.
- If you didn't attend Nazareth, ask your previous college(s) to send your transcript directly to Nazareth's Office of Graduate Admissions.
- International applicants: Submit English-translated transcripts, including bachelor's or higher degree equivalency through a NACES-certified evaluation service such as World Education Service, Educational Credential Evaluations, or Josef Silny & Associates. Is a minimum grade point average (GPA) required?
- No. Most applicants who are accepted have a 3.0 or higher undergraduate GPA.
- Those who do not meet this standard but are accepted are considered provisional. Nazareth's provisional acceptance requires a graduate GPA of 3.0 or higher when you complete 12 credits.
