What happened is not your fault, regardless of the circumstances. Nothing you did or wore—including dressing a certain way, drinking alcohol, or having a previous sexual relationship with the person involved—ever gives someone permission to sexually assault, sexually harass, or physically assault you. Sexual violence can affect people of all genders, identities, and sexual orientations.
Your safety and well-being are our highest priorities. If you have experienced physical or sexual violence, harassment, discrimination, or an incident of bias, consider seeking support as soon as possible. If you are injured or believe you may have been exposed to an STI or may be at risk of pregnancy, you can seek immediate medical attention and connect with campus resources for confidential support, guidance, and assistance. Campus resources are also available to help you report an incident of bias or discrimination, understand your options, and access appropriate support.
The information and resources provided are intended as general guidance and options to consider following an incident of sexual misconduct, discrimination, harassment, or retaliation. They are not intended to be directive, and you can decide what steps feel right for you.
