Recalls
When a book is checked out, it can be subject to recall for another library patron after an initial 28 day loan period. Most members of the community respond promptly and return the material so others might use it. A few don’t, and this inconveniences the other patron (who is almost always a student on deadline for a paper.) A fine of $1 a day will be applied to all accounts if the book is not returned within seven days.
Fines and Fees:
You will get an email reminder when your book is coming due, and when it is late. Although we do not charge daily overdues for Nazareth students or staff, if an item is 4 weeks late, you will get charged for the replacement cost of that item. Visitors will be charged overdue fines at $.10 per day.
Accounts with more than ten dollars in fines will be blocked.
If a billed book is not returned within 30 days, the amount due will be sent to Student Accounts to be added to your campus account.
Replacement fees will be forgiven upon material return. Replacement fees will be refunded if patron returns material within 1 year.
