ABOUT THE PERFORMANCE

Based in Orlando, VoicePlay performs its unique brand of entertainment—tight, a cappella harmonies mixed with hilarious on-stage theatrics—around the world. What began as a street corner barbershop quintet has evolved into an internationally acclaimed touring sensation.

While recreating the orchestrated sound of an entire musical production with nothing but the human voice (and spanning nearly 5.5 octaves!), VoicePlay performs tunes from a variety of eras and styles—hip hop, Broadway, country, pop—as well as themes from video games and Disney films. The group’s popular “Road Trip” video even spoofs five weary passengers disagreeing over the radio station, with all effects and tunes created using only vocal sounds.

Enjoyed by all ages, VoicePlay last appeared at the Arts Center as 42Five in 2012.
