THE PERFORMANCE
What could be fancier than Christmas? Elegantly wrapped presents! Festive decorations! Cookies with sprinkles! And who could forget the tree? After all, there is no such thing as too much tinsel—ooh la la! This year, Nancy is especially excited: after selling some of her gowns and accessories, she finally has enough money to buy a brand-new, sparkly tree topper. But when things don't turn out as she planned, will Nancy’s Christmas still be splendiferous?
Fancy Nancy Splendiferous Christmas is based on the New York Times bestselling picture book by Jane O'Connor and illustrated by Robin Preiss Glasser, with book by Cara Lustik, lyrics by Matthew Hardy, music by Randy Klein, and directed and choreographed by Sam Viverito. The production was commissioned and originally produced by the award-winning Vital Theatre Company, which is has been dedicated to producing entertaining and educational theatre for young audiences since its founding in 1999.
