Nazareth College is proud to have a number of talented faculty, staff and alumni connected to the popular Upstate Social Sessions in Rochester, taking place on October 15, 2016 at the School of the Arts on Prince Street downtown Rochester.
Leah Stacey, a communications professor at Nazareth, is a cofounder of the conference. Nick Cicero, a Nazareth music alum (2009) and founder of the analytics firm Delmondo, will be the event’s kickoff speaker. Sydney Bell, major gifts officer at the College, is a member of the planning team. The College’s English and Communications Department is a conference sponsor, and 15 Nazareth students from a social media class will be volunteering at the event.
Social media experts from Kickstarter, Moment, The New York Times, and Syracuse University will converge to lead sessions on personal and professional use of social media. The daylong conference will feature more than a dozen social experts from national and local brands. Topics include:
VIP ($100), general admission ($65) and student tickets ($30) are available on the Upstate Social Sessions website and will also be sold at the door, pending availability. Complimentary breakfast is provided, along with coffee throughout the day from Ugly Duck Coffee.
