Nazareth College Crew Club Competes in Inaugural Regatta

The Nazareth College Crew Club competed in its first regatta on Saturday at the the Head of the Genesee Head Race (5K) at the Genesee Waterways Center.  The Nazareth Crew Club competed against rowers from William Smith, John Carroll College, Ithaca College, RIT, University of Rochester and Cleveland University.  

Rowers from Nazareth included, freshmen: Katie Hock, Liza Reid, Abby Zych, and Carson Haney; sophomore Aricca Senkow; juniors: Anna Hudson, Maddy Waring, and Kathryn Hertzog; and senior Amy Slemp.  

In the Women’s Novice 8 sweep boat category, Nazareth came in ninth place, beating Cleveland State, SUNY Geneseo and John Carroll University.  The team was extremely happy with the result considering they had only been able to row together once prior to the regatta.
