Nazareth Physical Therapy's Mowder-Tinney Receives Award

J.J. Mowder-Tinney of Nazareth College is earning national recognition in her field from the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA).  She was honored with the Award for Excellence in Neurologic Education from the Academy of Neurologic Physical Therapy during the recent APTA national conference in San Antonio, Texas.

Mowder-Tinney is the interim chair and associate professor of physical therapy at Nazareth College. She demonstrates a teaching and mentoring excellence that extends across various platforms with a genuine passion. Taylor Drake, the Nazareth student who nominated her, says that Mowder-Tinney “surpasses all expectations of a typical professor.”

In addition to her teaching duties at the College, Mowder-Tinney lectures nationwide at continuing education conferences on stroke rehabilitation, spinal cord injury, motor learning, and balance.
