Nazareth Student Awarded Financial Executives International Scholarship

Daniel Jacob ‘19 was selected for the Rochester Chapter Financial Executives International (FEI) $1000 scholarship because of his academic excellence and strong leadership qualities. Criteria for this scholarship included being a full-time undergraduate student in their third or fourth year, with testament to the character of the nominee, the overall academic record, and the high degree of potential for future business leadership.

Jacob is a junior who is student-athlete on multiple teams, a member of the Student Athletic Advisory Committee (SAAC), a tutor in Nazareth Center for Student Success, and a student member of the Nazareth College Admissions Team. He served as a finance intern for Blue Cross Blue Shield and was named as a student ambassador with the New York State Society of CPAs in the Fall of 2017. Jacob manages this busy schedule while maintaining an exceptional overall GPA of 3.87.  

“Dan Jacob has been a model student-athlete at Nazareth,” says Kevin Broderick, Nazareth Men’s Basketball Coach, “He is dependable, consistent, and extremely productive. He will never offer excuses, he simply tries to improve. He has become a well-respected team leader in his third year in our program who his teammates consider to be a great communicator and competitor. He is a great young man.”
