Nazareth junior Ivy Dulysz '23, (they/she)a music therapy major, has been selected for a 2022 Newman Civic Fellowship for their service work pursuing equity for people with autism and other marginalized groups. Dulysz joins 172 student civic leaders from 38 states, Washington, D.C, and Mexico to make up the 2022-2023 cohort of Newman Civic Fellows.

After high popularity in the fall, goat yoga returns to campus for Naz students! As final exams quickly approach, Nazareth knows how much students need opportunities to relieve stress. Goat yoga is a perfect activity to not only provide physical wellness but mental and emotional wellness, too.

One of Sondheim's most popular works, Into the Woods is a musically sophisticated show with the opportunity to feature actors adept at dark comedy, highlighting the fantastical elements of a magical world. This Tony award-winning musical will be performed in the Nazareth Arts Center’s Callahan Theater on Thursday, April 28; Friday, April 29; and Saturday, April 30, at 7:30 p.m; the Saturday evening performance includes American Sign Language interpretation. There is also a matinee on Saturday, April 30, at 2 p.m. The timing of the show is a celebration of composer/lyricist Stephen Sondheim’s legacy. Sondheim passed away in November 2021.

Rachel Hance, president of Special Olympics Club@Naz and a junior communication sciences & disorders major, has been awarded a grant from Special Olympics to advance Unified Sports at Nazareth. Unified Sports brings together Nazareth students and Special Olympics athletes to play together and celebrate abilities.

Nazareth College’s Art and Design Department is hosting the 2022 Student Art Show and the Art Education Graduate Show in the Arts Center Gallery and Colacino Gallery. Both shows run Friday, April 5 - April 21. Opening receptions are Friday, April 8, from 5-7 p.m. in the Arts Center Gallery and Colacino Gallery. The award ceremony will take place at 6 p.m.
