Nazareth’s LifePrep@Naz honored with Cornerstone Award from The Arc of Monroe

Nazareth College is celebrating more than a decade since first opening its doors as home to LifePrep@Naz, an innovative program providing a fully immersive on-campus college experience for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The Arc of Monroe is now honoring Nazareth with this year’s Cornerstone Award. It was presented at the 2022 A Toast to The Arc gala on October 21 for Nazareth’s integral part in sustaining and building The Arc of Monroe and supporting its programs and services. LifePrep@Naz is a reciprocal partnership between Nazareth College and two community partners: Victor Central School District and The Arc of Monroe.

Christie Smith joins Nazareth College as the new dean of first year admissions. In her position, Smith will work collaboratively across the Nazareth community with all academic departments and student services areas.

Shannon Lecture Series opens with Paul Wadell, November 10

"What kind of life is truly worth living? "Who should I be?" Paul Wadell, Ph.D., will discuss how to live vocationally along every step of a personal journey as the first keynote speaker in Nazareth's 2022-23 Shannon Lecture Series on Thursday, November 10, at 7 p.m., in the Otto Shults Community Center Forum. It is free and open to the public.
