Nazareth University is proud to name Wellington Steele & Associates and the Leva Family as its Centennial presenting sponsor thanks to a generous gift of $100,000 to support Nazareth’s two-year Centennial celebration — A Century of Uniting Education and Action.
Ed Leva, president and co-founder of the Rochester-based professional recruiting and staffing company Wellington Steele & Associates, has a special reason for the sponsorship. “Our family’s gift honors my late mother, Beverly Lucity Leva, because she truly loved her time here at Nazareth,” said Leva. “She attended Nazareth in the late 1950s and she would be thrilled to know that her family is celebrating this once-in-a-lifetime milestone with the school that meant so much to her.” Leva ‘91, is also a Nazareth alumnus and a member of Nazareth’s board of trustees.
Nazareth will use the sponsorship funds to support an array of Centennial-specific events and activities that includes a series of Centennial Summits that will bring experts from Nazareth and the nation to campus, a commemorative centennial history book, campus enhancements, centennial themed food and beverage collaborations, and partnerships with local organizations. The pinnacle of the centennial celebrations will take place at Naz Weekend, September 20-22, 2024, just before Nazareth’s actual 100th anniversary – September 24, 2024.
“When Nazareth has waited 100 years for a milestone as exciting as this, it’s worth making the most of this important moment,” said Darrell Bell, vice president for advancement at Nazareth. “The University thanks Ed, the Leva family, and Wellington Steele & Associates for seizing the opportunity and allowing Nazareth to use the Centennial as a springboard for another 100 years of educating changemakers.”
