Christie Smith, Nazareth’s associate vice president of university admissions and enrollment, is a finalist for the 2025 ATHENA International Young Professional Award, presented by the Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce. The Chamber will celebrate finalists and announce the recipients at a ceremony on Thursday, Feb. 13, 2025, at the Rochester Riverside Convention Center.
“Being a finalist for the ATHENA Award is an incredible honor and a significant milestone,” Smith said. “I love that ATHENA celebrates women, recognizing their dedication, advocacy, and hard work while honoring their journeys. It is also a powerful call to inspire future generations to dream bigger and achieve more.”
The ATHENA International Awards are presented in three categories: The ATHENA Award, The ATHENA Organizational Award, and The ATHENA Young Professional Award.
The Young Professional award recognizes emerging female leaders aged 30 to 45 who demonstrate excellence, creativity, and initiative in their business or profession and serve as role models for young women personally and professionally. The Greater Rochester Chamber, in partnership with its Women’s Council affiliate, has presented this award annually since 2015.
Bob Duffy, president & CEO of the Chamber, said, “Congratulations to Christie for being named a finalist for the 2025 ATHENA International Awards. Our outstanding finalists are advocating for themselves, uplifting others, and inspiring excellence each and every day.”
