Former Syracuse Basketball star Kaleb Joseph speaks at Nazareth University about student mental health

Kaleb Joseph was one of the nation's top basketball point guard recruits, playing for his dream school Syracuse University, but the pressure and expectations of college basketball led him down a dark path of anxiety and addiction. He now shares his life story with students. He is speaking at Nazareth University on Tuesday, April 2, at 7 p.m. in the Shults Center Forum.

Schumer, Gillibrand secure $250,000 for Nazareth to improve access to mental health services

Nazareth University will expand mental health clinic services on campus for the Rochester community, thanks to $250,000 in funding secured by U.S. Senate Majority Leader Charles E. Schumer and U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand. The Nazareth grant is part of more than $3 million in the fiscal year 2024 appropriations package to support health care and supportive services to underserved communities and to improve health care infrastructure.

Manuel Rivera-Ortiz ’95, a renowned photographer best known within the world of documentary photography for his passionate depictions of real life, is Nazareth University’s Commencement speaker on May 17 and 18, 2024. Nazareth will ceremoniously grant an honorary degree to Rivera-Ortiz during one of the ceremonies.
