Rebirth Brass Band kicks off the fall 2026 lineup for Nazareth University and Point of the Bluff’s Concerts at Beston Hall

Nazareth University’s Glazer Music Performance Center welcomes five world-class concerts for the fall 2026 Concerts at Beston Hall — a collaboration between Point of the Bluff Vineyards and Nazareth. The series kicks off Sept. 13 with Grammy-winning Rebirth Brass Band, carrying on its New Orleans brass band tradition. On October 2, 40 Fingers, a quartet of guitar players from Italy conquering social media with millions of views, comes to Beston Hall. Powerhouse performer and award-winning blues artist Vanessa Collier is Oct. 17, and Juno Award-winning nouveau flamenco guitarist Jesse Cook brings his Forever Live tour to Nazareth on Nov. 22. Rounding out the fall lineup is one of indie music's most compelling artists, S. Carey on Dec. 9. Tickets for each of the shows are available at bestonhall.com.  

The Concerts at Beston Hall collaboration began in fall 2024, bringing premier concerts to the Nazareth campus at the Glazer Music Performance Center’s Beston Hall. Select shows in the series also provide Nazareth students with unique experiential learning opportunities behind the scenes of the music industry, including production, marketing, tour management, and performance.

Rebirth Brass Band
Sunday, Sept. 13

For almost 4 decades, the Grammy-winning Rebirth Brass Band has been stunning fans with its fiery live show and rich musical catalog. Their trademark sound pays homage to the New Orleans brass band tradition while weaving a tapestry combining elements of jazz, funk, soul, R&B, and the sounds from the streets they grew up on. Founded by brothers Phil and Keith Frazier more than 35 years ago, Rebirth began their career playing on the sidewalks of the French Quarter and quickly landed gigs at second line parades. Those auspicious beginnings have led to thousands of shows for music aficionados everywhere, including heads of state and royalty.

The band's unique New Orleans soundtrack has also garnered admiration from artists of all genres. They’ve shared the stage and collaborated with everyone from the Grateful Dead to the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Maceo Parker, Green Day, U2, James Brown, 311, G-Love, MuteMath, Juvenile, Train, Big Freedia, Ani Difranco, Galactic, Allen Touissant, Neville Brothers, Quincy Jones, and Trombone Shorty.

40 Fingers

They are called 40 Fingers, they are Italian, and they are the phenomenal quartet of guitarists who, to the tune of millions of views, are conquering social networks all over the world with their masterful reinterpretations and rearrangements of famous rock and pop hits, including AC/DC’s Thunderstruck, film and TV series soundtracks, and an official endorsement such as that of Queen, who applauded and published on their website the “40 Fingers” version of Bohemian Rhapsody.

They have also been acclaimed by numerous Italian and international music stars who have chosen them to duet together: from Andrea Bocelli to U.S. singer Tory Kelly, and Andy Summers of The Police to revisit the band’s famous song “Bring on the Night.”

Each with a strong musical history and a different background, the shared passion that the four of them have for the world of film and TV series and for their scores has also led them to try their hand at a series of original arrangements of famous soundtracks, including a medley of the John Williams’ Star Wars theme, The Last of the Mohicans, a Disney medley and a Harry Potter medley. 

Vanessa Collier

Singer-songwriter Vanessa Collier, best known in the Blues world, releases her sixth album, “Do It My Own Way,” on September 13, influenced by soul artists such as Mavis Staples, Sharon Jones, James Brown, and Aretha Franklin.

Recorded on analog gear with the musicians largely in one room, “Do It My Own Way” takes listeners back to the heyday of music with Memphis soul-influenced horn arrangements, layers of vocals for color, and poignant and powerful saxophone solos that deliver a quietly powerful undercurrent to each song and the album as a whole. 

The songwriter/bandleader made her Chicago Blues Festival debut this year, in front of tens of thousands. Collier is a12-time Blues Music Award nominee and four-time winner, including for the monumental Contemporary Blues Female Artist of the Year, Horn Player of the Year, and B.B. King Entertainer of the Year this year.

Her second single on the new album “Wild As a Rainstorm” is on Spotify’s official Retro Soul playlist. The soulful tune powerfully advises women and people who feel left out to ignore the naysayers. The groove and horns feature legendary Hi Records organist Rev. Charles Hodges. The vocals are powerful, awe-inspiring, and undeniably soulful. 

 Album closer “Warrior” paints the picture of a powerful woman and is both a universal message about the strength of women and a tribute to Collier’s mother. Collier says the artists she admired most — Prince, James Brown, and Bonnie Raitt — went against the grain and did things that people hadn’t thought of or seen before, changing the industry as they went. “This song is an assurance that I will continue to choose to fight quietly or publicly, if needed, to represent myself how I want to be represented in this industry and that I will not allow someone else to define who I am.”

Collier takes on multiple roles, writing the songs, producing the album, arranging horns and all instrumental and vocal parts, playing acoustic and electric guitars, alto and tenor saxophones, flute, as well as singing the lead and background vocals. 

Legendary Hi Records organ player Rev. Charles Hodges (Al Green, Bettye LaVette, Ann Peebles, Alex Chilton, Robert Cray) performs with Collier on the album as well as frequent Collier collaborators: Blues Music Award-winning guitarist Laura Chavez (Sue Foley, Mike Ledbetter & Monster Mike Welch); bassist Scott Sutherland (Elvin Bishop); and Byron Cage (Otis Taylor).

Global guitar virtuoso Jesse Cook is bringing his Forever Live tour to Nazareth University’s Beston Hall on Sunday, Nov. 22. Jesse Cook redefines music’s power to connect people across cultures and continents. Over the last three decades, the Paris-born, Toronto-raised master of the Spanish guitar has built a devoted following for his spellbinding rumba flamenco, routinely selling out performance halls from London to Los Angeles, Milan to Montreal. 

On stage, Cook radiates infectious energy, collaborating with his band and guest instrumentalists to craft immersive, unforgettable experiences. Throughout his decades-long career, he has remained devoted to musical exploration. His boundary-defying artistry has introduced flamenco and world music to wider audiences while maintaining a signature style that is both technically masterful and soulfully expressive.
