Nazareth selected to join Common App’s direct admissions program

Nazareth University has been selected as one of 11 colleges and universities in New York — and one of only 70 colleges and universities nationwide — to join Common App’s direct admissions program, which will provide over 200,000 college-interested first-generation and low- and middle-income students with proactive admissions offers. Common App’s direct admissions program also includes outreach and resources to families, and to counselors who have students receiving a direct admissions offer.

Nazareth officially becomes Nazareth University, June 1

After operating as a college for 99 years, Nazareth University celebrated both its official transition to university status and its new name in a historic celebration on campus May 31. The event also marked the unveiling of Nazareth University’s new visual identity, including an updated logo that celebrates its rich history while repositioning the Nazareth brand to reflect the institution’s new name. The transition to Nazareth University — which legally takes effect at midnight on June 1, 2023 — ushers in another century of Nazareth educating true changemakers who positively impact the world through their life's work.

Nazareth named a teach-out institution for students at soon-to-close Medaille University

Nazareth has been named a teach-out partner for Medaille University, as students at the Buffalo-based private institution — which announced that it will permanently close on August 31, 2023 — begin the process of selecting a new school to attend. Under the teach-out agreement between Nazareth and Medaille, signed on May 17, students at Medaille have the opportunity to complete their fields of study at Nazareth with no transfer, admission, or application fees and at a cost of attendance — including room and board — equal to or less than what those students currently pay at Medaille.
