At Nazareth, both full-time and adjunct faculty fill our learning spaces with creativity and purpose every day. Open Classroom Week (OCW) is your invitation to experience these exciting approaches firsthand, see what students are learning, and connect across our academic community.

Who Can Participate?

Open Classroom Week welcomes everyone in the Nazareth community--faculty, staff, administration, and alumni--who want to see what’s happening inside our classrooms.

How Does It Work?

  • Volunteer to Open Your Classroom: Share your teaching by completing a Google form to make your class (or classes) open to guests during the week of October 20–24. The form closes Friday, September 26 at 5:00 p.m.

  • Choose Your Guests: This year, Nazareth faculty, staff, and alumni can sign up to visit your class--and you get to choose who you’d like to invite.

  • View and Sign Up: Beginning Monday, October 6, all Open Classrooms will be listed on a Google Sheet, where guests can select and register for the classes they wish to visit. Sign-ups remain open until Friday, October 17 at 5:00 p.m. The number of available slots depends on each class’s capacity.

  • After Sign-Up: The Google Sheet will stay viewable so instructors know their guest list. Feel free to share materials or helpful information with your visitors before class.

The Week of OCW: October 20–24

  • Open Your Doors: Teach as usual and welcome your registered guests.

  • Attend Other Classes: Explore different teaching styles, subjects, and experiences as a guest in colleagues’ classes.

  • Share Your Experiences: Tell your story on Facebook, LinkedIn, or Instagram with the hashtag #opennaz.

Stay tuned for details about our celebratory gathering at the end of the week!

Let’s make this year’s Open Classroom Week the most inspiring yet. Explore, learn, and connect—together at Nazareth.
