Certified Financial Planner Certification Education Program


  • This certificate program prepares you for the Certified Financial Planner exam. This continuing education program is approved by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards to offer a pathway to becoming a CFP®.

  • Financial planning professionals who have a bachelor’s degree and want to take the needed courses to be eligible to take the Certified Financial Planner exam.

  • FIN 301 Fundamentals of Financial Planning 
  • FIN 401 Insurance Planning and Risk Management 
  • FIN 402 Retirements and Employee Benefits Planning 
  • FIN 403 Estate Planning and Taxation 
  • FIN 404 Financial Planning Capstone

The program director will evaluate your transcript to determine the full scope of courses you will need to take.

  • Courses meet in the evening or early morning, to accommodate work schedules.
