After careers as a journalist and college professor, Ann Callaghan Allen '71 (English major) dug into a piece of World War II history that most Americans have never heard: Her hometown of Oswego, New York, hosted America's only Holocaust refugee shelter in the 1940s. She tells the story of incredible relationships and what some of those refugees went on to accomplish that benefits the world.
