Nazareth in Action Worldwide

This global effort encourages Nazareth alumni, students, families, and friends to make a difference through community engagement opportunities.

Nazareth in Action Worldwide carries the vision and values held closest to the Nazareth experience — inclusion, cooperation, changemaking, and service — into shared action and meaningful impact for the communities in which we work and live.

Nazareth in Action Worldwide is an open invitation to every member of the Nazareth community to roll up your sleeves, come together, and give back through volunteer opportunities in communities around the world during March 2024. In collaboration with community partners and organizations, the Naz family can help promote the importance and value of taking action for social justice.

How can you get involved?

Host a site

Raise your hand to coordinate a site in your community or virtually. We are currently taking sites and lead volunteers for February 2025!

Step 1: Plan your event

Reach out to a local organization you’d like to partner with and discuss their needs and ideas
Determine a date, time, location, the number of volunteers you hope to host, any requirements (attire, age restrictions, background, paperwork), and any other helpful details (parking, etc.)
Sites should not require any payment

Step 2: Let Nazareth know

Once you’ve confirmed the details (location, date, time, number of volunteer spots, attire, and any other requirements), let the Nazareth Alumni Engagement office know and share your contact info: Fill out the Host a Site form.

Step 3: What’s next

Nazareth will provide support for any questions you may have
We’ll promote your site on the Nazareth in Action Worldwide website and encourage alumni, parents, and friends to sign up
Every participant will get a T-shirt with the Nazareth in Action Worldwide logo

Rochester

Mt. Hope Cemetery

Help the staff of Mt. Hope clear out their Gatehouse building. There will be lots of hands on cleaning and organizing, but for those not interested in getting their hands dirty there's also inventory to be done in the gift shop!

Syracuse

Francis House

February 15, 2025 @ Noon

Help prepare meals for the families staying in the home. Francis House offers room and board for families who are affected by a terminal illness.

Buffalo
