Parking and Transportation

Every Vehicle Needs a Permit

The parking permit process — required for every vehicle — improves safety and enables Nazareth to gauge demand for parking and continue to make adjustments.

What to have handy when you register/renew your parking permit:

  • License plate number
  • Vehicle make and model (e.g., Toyota, Camry)
  • Naz ID (for students, faculty, staff)
  • Driver's contact information

See customized details below.

Students

Student parking fees (include tax; charged directly to your student account) for the 2024/2025 academic year:

  • $115 for the academic year
  • $70 for a single semester (fall only or spring only)

Parking fees are not refundable.

Steps to Take

  1. Before or at the start of each semester, have your Naz ID number handy and apply to register/renew/update your parking permit. A current parking permit (sticker) is required each semester, displayed at all times when parking on campus.
  2. Pick up (from Campus Safety) your new parking sticker and attach it right away to your rear driver-side window. Vehicles not registered with Campus Safety, not parked in an appropriate space or lot, or not displaying a valid parking permit, will be ticketed and are subject to booting, towing, and loss of parking privileges.
  3. If you live on campus (students and residence life staff): Park in a PURPLE lot — J, K, H, I, L, N, O, S, or French House. Resident permits also are valid in P Lot. View parking map.
  4. Commuter students (any student not living on campus): Park in a GOLD lot — A, C, G, J Ext., M, Q, or T. There is no overnight parking in Commuter Lots. All overnight guests or faculty, staff, and students leaving their vehicle on campus overnight must park in P Lot. View parking map.
  5. See Parking Policies on this page.
Faculty
  1. Complete a parking permit application each calendar year* and pick up (from Campus Safety) your faculty parking sticker. New faculty typically complete the application at Campus Safety when you get your employee ID card. Commuter permits are required regardless of the number of credit hours you teach or the time of day you are on campus.
  2. Attach your faculty parking sticker to your vehicle right away. Vehicles not registered with Campus Safety, not parked in an appropriate space or lot, or not displaying a valid parking permit, will be ticketed and are subject to booting, towing, and loss of parking privileges.
  3. You may use the reserved faculty parking spaces (first come, first served) in lots A, E, L, Music, Q Ext., or R. They are shown with black shading: View parking map.
  4. Or you may park in GOLD (Commuter) lots — A, C, G, J Ext., M, Q, and T. View parking map. Anyone not living on campus is a commuter, including faculty, staff, and students who commute to campus.  There is no overnight parking in Commuter Lots.
