Dialogue Series

The Nazareth University Dialogue Series is a series of dialogue sessions, discourse opportunities, speakers, panels, and more!

It is a collaboration between Culture, Community & Belonging (CCB), Center for Professional Learning, Innovation, & Creativity (PLIC), Weider Community Engagement, and Residential Life.

There are events driven by the Intergroup Dialogue Committee, and this page advertises other dialogue and discourse events happening at Naz.

So what is dialogue ANYWAYS!?

Some people mistakenly use dialogue, discussion, and debate synonymously - but they're all very different!

What is Debate?

Participants listen so they can defend their own position and eventually win the argument.

What is Discussion?

Allows different sides to present their ideas and perspectives on a given topic to (sometimes) persuade others that their position is right.

What is Dialogue?

Broadens our perspective instead of simply presenting ideas; it listens with an intent to learn; it creates a space for questions on the path to social and self-awareness.
