Biography

Stim's professional focus is on the impact of governmental institutions on adolescence with a specific focus on the intersection between refugee youth and public schools.

Stim's experience within schools in New Mexico, Texas, and Virginia motivated her to direct her professional focus on innovative and inclusive school-based programs for students.

Previously, she acted as the program director of Asian Family Support Services of Austin, an agency assisting survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault with a specialized focus on working with Asian communities. For five years, based in Santa Fe, New Mexico, Stim provided programmatic support to youth-based agencies, programs, and practices across New Mexico in her position at the state's Children, Youth & Families Department.
