Program Overview

Students are at the heart of who we are and what we do and we want you to help bring that to life through social media. Our social media team within the Marketing and Communications department is excited to bring you their social media ambassador program.

We’re looking for students who are passionate about Naz, creating content, and social media. If you are well-versed in social media trends, comfortable bringing new ideas to the table, and are eager to learn more about the behind the scenes of content creation, we would love to hear from you.

As a student ambassador, you will work closely with the social media team, students, and staff members to create high-quality, engaging content for the main Nazareth University social media accounts to promote Nazareth in a unique and innovative way.

Key Responsibilities

  • Brainstorm and create social media content for Instagram and TikTok.
  • Tasked with producing, filming and editing multiple pieces of video and photo content each month. You’ll be provided with content ideas and inspiration on a monthly basis and are encouraged to share ideas as well.
  • Work closely with the marketing and communications team to research, plan, and execute social media trends
  • Attend one brainstorming meeting each month with other social media student ambassadors (more if time permits).
  • Attend one check-in meeting each month with assistant director of social and digital media (more if time permits).
  • Work as a team with other ambassadors to create engaging content for the university's diverse social media accounts
  • Comment and repost Naz's social media posts to your social media profile to bring awareness to the university.

Qualifications

  • Full-time student at Nazareth University
  • Have public social media accounts
  • 2.5 minimum GPA
  • Passion for Nazareth University, social media, and content creation
  • Active social media presence and proven record of creating engaging social media content
  • Ability to submit 4–5 pieces of content per month, attend biweekly check-in meetings in-person, and one in-person group cohort meeting per month
  • Excellent time management, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Comfortable on camera and filming independently
  • Knowledge of social media trends and video editing apps
  • Willingness to perform social media duties for fall and spring semester
  • Available for the entire 2025–2026 academic year
  • Potential to renew for 2026–2027 academic year pending performance

Compensation

$15.50 per hour up to 5 hours of work per week. This is ample time for all required content to be captured, edited, and submitted.
