The GRC (Greater Rochester Collaborative) MSW (master’s in social work) Program between Nazareth College and The College at Brockport is proud to announce that its graduates who took the licensing exam in 2013 achieved among the highest first-time pass rates in New York State. The program’s first-time pass rate was 91 percent.
There are 17 schools of social work or social work programs in New York State and the range for the first-time pass rate was from 52 percent to 93 percent, with the average for all schools in New York at 80 percent. The national average first-time pass rate is 82 percent.
"We are indeed proud of the accomplishments of our GRC MSW graduates who consistently score high on the NYS licensing exam for social work,” said Virginia David (Nazareth College) and Jason Dauenhauer (The College at Brockport), co-directors of the GRC MSW program. “Congratulations to our graduates and the faculty of the social work departments of both institutions who consistently provide excellence in their social work teaching."
Only SUNY Binghamton had a higher first-time pass rate at 93 percent. New York University also had a first-time pass rate of 91 percent.
