Nazareth College Office of Veterans Affairs is hosting its annual celebratory Veterans Day event on Monday, November 10, from noon - 1 p.m. in the Otto A. Shults Community Center Forum located on the Nazareth College campus. This year’s guest speaker is John White, a Vietnam veteran and Silver Star recipient. This event is free and open to the public. Nazareth College is located at 4245 East Avenue, Rochester, N.Y., 14618.
This year Nazareth’s Office of Veterans Affairs will honor Nazareth graduate Kelly Kemp Noyes ’14 (master’s in social work) as the 2014 Sgt. Kade E. O’Brien Veteran Student of the Year. In addition, Sandy Killeen, senior assistant director in financial aid at Nazareth, will received the 2014 Service to Student Veterans Award.
The event also includes a panel of Nazareth student veterans, and Tom Allen of Primetime Brass will perform the national anthem.
