Nazareth College Arts Center to present dazzling international sensation, The Bollywood Musical Revue, February 12

The Nazareth College Arts Center is proud to present Taj Express’s The Bollywood Musical Revue on Sunday, February 12, 2017, at 7 p.m. in the Callahan Theater. The troupe features award-winning talent from Mumbai in 2,000 colorful costumes on a lavish Bollywood set. Ticket holders are also invited to a pre-show talk with the performers in the Peace Theater (room A14, located in the lower level of the Arts Center), at 6 p.m.

THE PERFORMANCE

Taj Express’s The Bollywood Musical Revue—an internationally acclaimed musical based out of Mumbai, India that is now in the midst of a 50-city North American tour—explodes with the sounds of India and Bollywood, and captures the vibrant, expressive spirit of the movies that have entertained for generations. Through a fusion of film, dance, and music, the dazzling production takes audiences on a live, cinematic journey through modern Indian culture and society—complete with a romantic, Bollywood love story. The Bollywood Musical Revue is a high-energy celebration of new India’s pop music, Bollywood culture, and deep traditions, all featuring shimmering, colorful costumes, joyful dance, and thrilling live music.

The Bollywood Musical Revue is produced by one of India's leading entertainment families, the Merchants. The show is produced and directed by Shruti Merchant, one of the country’s top Bollywood choreographers and a judge on India's dance reality show Dance India Dance. Alongside Shruti is director of choreography, Vaibhavi Merchant, who has worked in more than 75 Bollywood films and received numerous awards for her choreography, including the prestigious National Award for Choreography, IIFA, and the American Choreography Award.

The Nazareth College Arts Center Box Office is located on campus at 4245 East Avenue, Rochester, New York, 14618. Regular box office hours are Monday-Friday, 11am-5pm and 11am until curtain time on performance days.
