Nazareth Hosts 8th Annual Global Citizenship Conference for Hundreds of High School Students, March 13

More than 600 high school students from 23 different Rochester area schools will come to Nazareth College for the eighth annual Global Citizenship Conference, Love Not Hate, on March 13 from 8 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. The conference is a collaboration between the Hickey Center for Interfaith Studies and Dialogue and community organizations. Nazareth College is located at 4245 East Avenue, Rochester, N.Y., 14618.

This year's session topics will include: Encountering World Religions and Cultures: Love Not Hate and the skill building session will focus on Global Citizenship.

Speakers at the conference will include:

  • Dianne Oliver, Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences, Nazareth College
  • Diane Ariza, VP of Diversity and Inclusion, Nazareth College
  • Barbara Deane-Williams, Superintendent of the Rochester City School District
  • Simeon Banister, Vice President for Community Programs, Rochester Area Community Foundation
  • Larry Fine, former CEO of the Jewish Federation of Greater Rochester
  • Rt. Rev. Bishop Prince G. Singh, Episcopal Diocese of Rochester
  • Nancy Hackett, Superintendent of Sullivan West CSD
