Pioneering Journalist Jane Pauley is the headliner at Naz Weekend, October 21-23

Published September 15, 2022

One of broadcasting’s most respected journalists and host of CBS Sunday Morning, Jane Pauley is headlining Nazareth College’s first-ever Naz Weekend in October. Pauley will be the keynote speaker as Nazareth welcomes alumni, students, families, faculty, staff, donors, and the Rochester community for its biggest and brightest celebration — combining homecoming, reunion, and family weekend into one. Naz Weekend takes place October 21-23, 2022, with Pauley speaking on Saturday, October 22, at 10 a.m., in the Nazareth College Glazer Music Performance Center. Tickets are $20 and are open to the Nazareth community and the general public through the Nazareth Weekend registration page.

Pauley began her network career as co-host of TODAY for 13 years, anchored Dateline NBC for more than a decade and hosted her own daytime program, The Jane Pauley Show. Pauley has received multiple Emmys, the Walter Cronkite Award for Excellence in Journalism, and the Edward R. Murrow Award for outstanding achievement. Pauley is a member of the Broadcast and Cable Hall of Fame. Pauley has written two New York Times bestsellers: A memoir, Skywriting: A Life Out of the Blue (2004) and Your Life Calling: Reimagining the Rest of Your Life(2014). A longtime advocate in children’s health and education, Pauley is a member of the Board of Directors of Children's Health Fund, The Mind Trust, and is a highly regarded spokesperson in mental health. She and her husband, Doonesbury cartoonist Garry Trudeau, are the parents of three grown children.

More than 20,000 alumni are celebrating key reunions in 2022, and current students and their families will add to the excitement on campus as they join Nazareth faculty, staff, donors, and the public for a weekend of events.

“After two years of delays due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we’re thrilled to be back in person, and we have much to celebrate,” said Caroline Tolbert, Nazareth’s director of alumni and constituent engagement. “Our goal is to bring together the full Nazareth family for a weekend of new events and old favorites.”

The full schedule can be found online.
