This session is a little longer for those who are also interested in reviewing some of the basics of managing and editing your gradebook setup, including extra credit or bonus options, hiding/showing grades, and grade overrides.

Come explore some novel ways you can engage students and deliver content with video such as weekly 'kick off' announcements, screencasts, and student feedback. The tools that will be showcased for this session are Moodle's built-in video options, Echo360's Universal Capture, and free tools such as Loom and Canva.

This session will demonstrate how to use the Assignment tool's built-in options for creating criteria-based assessments: Rubrics, Grading Guides, and Checklists. Depending on your needs, each of these options offer varying degrees of complexity in assessing how well and to what extent students have met the requirements of an activity or project. This session is a little longer so that there is ample time to review each option and address questions, but come for as long or as little as you like!

As we transition to the latter part of the semester, here is an opportunity to learn about some of the features and functions in Moodle you may not have known were available to further customize the look, feel, and organization of your course for Spring 2026! We will take a tour of Moodle's Course Layout options, the course banner, text and media areas, and the Books and Pages tools.
