What the program does

  • Supports talented college students with a passion for science and math to pursue successful teaching careers in these subject areas — to, in turn, inspire children to pursue exciting careers in fields such as microelectronics, environmental science, robotics, forensic science, and biotechnology.
  • Responds to the critical need for K-12 STEM teachers by:
    • Providing annual undergraduate scholarships of up to $20,000 for junior and senior year
    • Providing seminars and courses to enhance your preparation as elementary, secondary biology, or secondary math teachers
    • Providing teaching field experience specific to STEM education
    • Providing research opportunities in STEM education
    • Covering the cost of initial licensing fees
  • Seeks to increase the number, quality, and effectiveness of elementary, secondary biology, and secondary mathematics teachers interested in teaching in high-needs school districts across the United States
