Occupational Therapy Orthopedic Clinic
Fall 2021
We are providing in-person services to adults, following Centers for Disease Control and Nazareth infection control and distancing guidelines to maintain safety for clients, students, and faculty. If you are interested in services, contact Corliss Cloninger, cclonin5@naz.edu. She will share the regulations and what we will require of you.
This clinic evaluates and treats people whose function has been impacted by upper extremity disorders, arthritis, burns, or amputations. The fabrication of splints or orthotics may be part of the intervention plan.
Potential Clients
This clinic provides OT services for pediatric and adult clients who meet the criteria described above.
Session Schedule
The clinic offers 50-minute individual and group sessions for 8-10 weeks during Nazareth College's spring semester.
Student Clinicians
Therapy services are provided by students in the master’s of occupational therapy professional program under the direct supervision of licensed occupational therapist faculty, according to the standards of the New York State Office of the Professions.
Referrals
We welcome referrals from several sources including other clinicians and clients, social workers, and health care providers.
All clients need a prescription from their health care provider.
Eligibility and Fees
The clinic is offered to clients who meet the criteria for treatment and who provide a current prescription from their health care provider. Services are available to anyone, insured or not. Donations are appreciated.
Location
The OT Orthopedic clinic is on the Nazareth College campus in the newly remodeled York Wellness and Rehabilitation Institute. Parking passes are provided for parking spaces directly in front of the clinic entrance in the WRI building.
Parking
Clinic parking spaces are located in front of the York Institute building and in G Lot at the end of the building. You will receive a parking pass before you begin therapy or at your first session. Please make sure it’s visible on your dashboard while you’re parked on campus. If you receive a parking ticket, let your clinic supervisor know.
