Master of Science

  • Nazareth College’s master’s degree in management emphasizes the human side of management to create successful organizations, including leadership, management, and organizational effectiveness strategies.
  • Learn how different leadership styles affect individual and organizational performance, how to develop a culture that fosters employee motivation and ethical business practice, and how to respond to factors that affect your organization’s strategic direction.
  • Unlike a traditional master of business administration (MBA), Nazareth’s master of science in management program doesn’t make you start from scratch.
  • This management degree builds on your work experience or undergraduate business coursework to hone in on the skills that research shows are most needed for career success in management.
  • This efficient approach shortens your time commitment and lowers your costs compared to an MBA degree.
  • This program is accredited by the International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education.

Program is Ideal For

  • People with at least three years of professional work experience and undergraduate coursework in business disciplines who need a master's degree to advance their career.
  • People in technical or individual contributor roles in companies who seek to move into management and leadership roles.
  • Professionals in sectors such as health care, human services, and the arts who need to bring solid management principles and practices to their organizations.

Career Information

  • Expected job growth for managers varies by field/industry. One area of significant expansion is medical and health services managers.
  • Jobs in that field are projected to grow 23 percent from 2012 to 2022, as baby boomers age.

Graduate's Perspective

"The M.S. in Management taught me to manage not just the task, but the people who perform the task. Coincidentally, we were doing some cultural transformation at my organization, and I found that the classes at Nazareth aligned well with the work we were doing. Nowhere else will you learn as much about yourself as a person and as a leader and learn from professors with real-world experience as you will in the M.S. in Management program at Nazareth."
