Nazareth University is dedicated to providing inclusive and accessible commencement ceremonies in which the entire Naz community can fully participate. Please see the following details about our upcoming commencement ceremonies and accessibility features.
Parking
Parking on campus will be free and ample on commencement day. Guests can be dropped off at the front of the Golisano Training Center entrance (lot Q). The main entrance is wheelchair accessible.
In lot Q, 75 spaces are designated for accessible parking and will require a valid handicapped permit.
Shuttle: A Naz community service minivan will be available for shuttle service in lots P, R/O, A, and Q. Please review our parking lot map; Nazareth’s website also has an interactive campus map.
Seating
Ground level seating is available for guests with wheelchairs, walkers, or other mobility impairments. All seats are foldable chairs and can be adjusted for mobile scooters, wheelchairs, etc. This seating is first-come, first served. Please plan to arrive early for the best seating availability and let the usher know of your needs.
Interpreting services for the deaf and hard of hearing
An American Sign Language interpreter will be at the ceremony. A screen on the side of the stage enhances ceremony viewing. Reserved seating is available around the screen area if needed.
Closed Captioning
The full ceremony will be closed captioned.
Service Animals
Only animals that meet the definition of a service animal under the ADA are permitted to accompany people with disabilities at commencement.
Commencement Program Accessibility
A digital version of the program will be available at commencement via a QR code and from the Commencement main webpage. This allows guests to enlarge the font on their device for better viewing and to play text-to-speech audio on their device.
Restrooms
Golisano Training Center has handicap accessible restrooms located near the main entrance.
