Professor of Art Lynn Duggan retired May 2016 after nearly 40 years teaching jewelry and metalsmithing at Nazareth College. The retrospective exhibition Lynn Duggan: Trajectory spanned those four decades with creations in jewelry, sculpture, drawing, and collage. Many of the works focused on the human body, reflecting Duggan’s ongoing interest in women and gender studies. Her current works explore social/political themes in mixed media, including contemporary issues such as gun violence, health care, and war.
Duggan has been honored with the Nazareth College Excellence in Teaching Award; has taught as a visiting professor for the University of Georgia Studies Abroad Program in Cortona, Italy; and was awarded two New York Foundation for the Arts fellowships.
