Joshua Bouillon

Native of Upstate New York, Franco-American tenor, Joshua Alain Bouillon, is expanding his career throughout the Northeast and internationally. As a young artist, Mr. Bouillon has participated in a number of festivals and young artist programs including, Opera Colorado, Green Mountain Opera Festival, and Opera North. Previously performed opera roles include, Des Grieux from Massenet’s Manon, Rodolfo from La bohème and Jenik in Smetana’s The Bartered Bride. In the summer of 2013, he made his European debut singing Don Ottavio in Mozart’s Don Giovanni in Hungary, a production that was aired on national television. In the summer of 2015 he sang Romeo in Gounod's Romeo et Juliette with Maryland Lyric Opera. Apart from opera, he has also performed as a concert soloist with ensembles throughout New York such as Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra, Rochester Oratorio Society, Saratoga Choral Festival, Voices of Cooperstown, and Octavo Singers. Mr. Bouillon's most recent performance was the role of Gontran with Rochester Lyric Opera's production of Une Education Manquée by Chabrier. In the spring of 2016, he placed third in the ROS Classical Idol competition. Upcoming performances include Handel’s Messiah with the South Dakota Symphony Orchestra. He holds a Bachelor of Music from Liberty University and a Masters of Music from the Eastman School of Music.
