ANNOUNCEMENT:  Due to changes at Nazareth College in response to COVID19, we are postponing Decades of Song: A Celebration of Music Therapy at Nazareth College and the Retirement of Dr. Bryan Hunter, sponsored by the School of Music and Department of Creative Arts Therapy.

The new date will be Saturday, September 5th, 2020, Labor Day weekend. Deforia Lane and Ken Medema will still be joining us as keynote speakers. Watch your email for an updated registration link later this spring. We hope that you can join us for this celebration!

6:00pm: Reception and opportunity to tour the William and Shelia Konar Foundation Creative Arts Therapy Wing and the Dawn and Jacques Lipson Music Therapy Clinic. 

7:30pm: Participants are also invited to the Symphonic Band Concert, in Beston Hall, Glazer Music Performance Center

This day-long event will feature a keynote address by Dr. Lane, concurrent sessions highlighting Rochester music therapy programs, history of the Nazareth College music therapy program, a fireside chat with Dr. Bryan Hunter and Leslie Hunter, a reception, and concert by acclaimed storyteller-musician-music therapist Ken Medema.

A block of rooms for conference attendees is being held at the Woodcliff Hotel & Spa, 199 Woodcliff Dr., Fairport, NY 14450. 

The room rate is $129. For reservations call 585-248-4810 or 800-365-3065 and ask for the Nazareth College Music Therapy 40th Anniversary room block. The block is being held through March 16, 2020. Check with the hotel for space availability after that date.
