Pi Psi Chapter

Pi Psi is the Nazareth chapter of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing.

Nazareth University Student Nurses' Association (NUSNA)

The NUSNA is the Nazareth chapter of the National Student Nurses' Association (NSNA). Participation in NSNA’s activities offers students opportunities for involvement in shared governance and leadership skill development at the university, state, and national levels. Contact the club officers: naznurse@mail.naz.edu

Public Health Week

Many nursing students take advantage of the ability to graduate with a double major in Nursing and Public Health. Faculty and students host educational talks and events each year during the first week of April, which is National Public Health Week.

Mission

The mission of the Nazareth University Nursing Department is to educate and prepare students for culturally congruent nursing practice, leadership in service to the community, and commitment to a life informed by intellectual, ethical, and aesthetic values.

Vision

The Nazareth University Nursing Department will be recognized for its excellence in providing culturally competent Nursing education in a safe and supportive environment that places special emphasis on clear communication and interprofessional collaboration in order to effectively serve local and global communities.

Goals

The goals of the Nazareth University Nursing Department are to prepare culturally competent professional nurse generalists who:

1. Provide culturally congruent nursing care to individuals, families, and communities in and across all environments;

2. Possess broad knowledge of the humanities, biological and social sciences, and nursing; and

3. Demonstrate leadership in nursing practice and scholarship.
