The Theatre and Dance Department Senior Showcase enables senior musical theatre and acting majors to present performance skills to industry professionals, agents, and casting directors in New York City. This opportunity for callbacks, auditions, and representation launches careers in stage/television/film, and helps make the Theatre and Dance program at Nazareth College a rival to many nationally acclaimed programs.
"Live theater keeps your spirit alive. I love the challenge of the creative process," says Corinne Aquilina, assistant professor and program director of musical theatre. She focuses on real-world career preparation: "You should have a job before you graduate. My goal is to offer the tools and opportunity necessary for what is trending in musical theatre. Movement and Dance weekend (MAD) features more than 30 events and dance and movement master classes in a variety of styles over four days. The event is sponsored by the Theatre and Dance department.

Katie Ganem '13 and Gloria Gambino '13 both wrote and directed plays for national and international stages while at Nazareth. Katie is currently the artistic director at Open Space Arts in Maryland while Gloria is production coordinator at Vayner Media in New York City. The Arts Center at Nazareth College is Rochester's premier mid-size theater and performing arts venue for world-class dance, music, children's and family theatre, and international entertainment.

Theatre and performing arts clubs and organizations are open to majors and non-majors. Clubs include Dare2Dance, the Nazareth Dance Association, and Theatre League.
