To request permission to stay on campus for any part of Thanksgiving, fill out the Break Housing Request Form online by Friday, November 1.
Only students with written permission from the Residential Life department can remain on campus or return to campus before residence halls reopen.
Neither on-campus nor off-campus employment commitments constitute a legitimate reason to remain in on-campus housing. Student teachers also must fill out the Break Housing Request Form.
Please make your travel plans accordingly as requests to stay due to travel will not be approved.

International Students: Inform the Center for International Education of your break plans. CIE will send a master list with your information to Residential Life.
Student Athletes (who are in season and required to stay by your coach for practice or competition): Inform your coach of accommodations needed. Your coach will send the team's information to Residential Life.

To request permission to stay on campus for any part of Winter Break, fill out the Break Housing Request Form online starting on Monday, November 18 with a deadline of Friday, November 22.
You will be notified via email of either the approval or denial of your request by Monday, December 2. If you do not meet the deadline you will not be authorized to remain on campus or return early.

To request permission to stay on campus for any part of Spring Break, fill out the Break Housing Request Form online starting on February 17 with a deadline of February 21.
You will be notified via email of either the approval or denial of your request by Friday, February 28, 2025. If you do not meet the deadline you will not be authorized to remain on campus or return early.
If you are approved, you will be charged a daily fee of $50 to remain on campus, automatically added to your student account.
Athletes/ELI/Student Teachers/Alternative Breaks/Clinicals are excluded from the daily charge.

Students must leave within 24 hours of your last final exam or by 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 14, whichever comes first.
To request permission to stay on campus for any part of time after the end of the semester, fill out the Break Housing Request Form online by 4 p.m. Friday, May 3.
Only students with written permission from the Department of Residential Life can remain on campus or return to campus before residence halls reopen.
Neither on-campus nor off-campus employment commitments constitute a legitimate reason to remain in on-campus housing. Student teachers, student interns, and commencement musicians/volunteers also must fill out the Break Housing Request Form.

August 25-28: Arrival of Incoming First Year Students & Orientation
August 27 & 28: Res halls open at 8:30 a.m. for Returning Students
To request permission to arrive prior to opening weekend (August 25-28), contact Residential Life. The deadline for these requests is Friday, August 5.
You will be notified via email of either approval or denial of your request by Tuesday, August 9. If you do not meet the deadline, you will not be authorized to arrive early to campus.

While we will take your request into consideration for travel reasons, we ask that you please make your travel plans accordingly. Should you be approved, you will be charged a daily fee of $50, automatically added to your student account to arrive on campus before your scheduled move-in date.
