Nancy Russo

BIOGRAPHY

Nancy was the Director of the Instrumental Music Program at Hilton High School in which she directed the High School Wind Ensemble. The Hilton Wind Ensemble has a tradition of excellence, and was invited to perform at the New York State School Board’s Convention and has won numerous local and state awards. In addition to her duties as an ensemble director and former Music Department Coordinator for the district music program for 18 years, Nancy is on the Content Advisory Board for the New York State Teacher Certification Exams, RAND American Teacher panel, and the Children’s Music Foundation. She is an active presenter on music education at several universities as well as the NAfME Collegiate Conference, sharing teaching strategies, classroom management, motivational techniques and tips to building an outstanding program. Nancy is active conducting and judging county and state music festivals, teaching private music students and mentoring college students.

Nancy is a fitness enthusiast, and in her spare time she also likes to bake and support her two adult daughters Maria and Diana.
