Scholarship Support & Endowments

Scholarships and funds are an important source of support for our bright and motivated students - and your generosity makes all the difference.

You can help our students make the most of their Nazareth education by supporting student financial aid in one of two ways:

1. Annual Scholarship Assistance

Your annual gift to Nazareth University can be designated toward student financial aid to benefit students immediately. When making your gift, simply indicate on the online gift form, gift envelope, or check that you would like your annual gift used for student financial aid. Your contribution will be added to the financial aid budget to provide assistance to students for the current fiscal year.

2. Create or Add to an Endowed Scholarship Fund

One of the most meaningful ways alumni, parents, and friends can help Nazareth students is through an endowed or permanent scholarship. Gifts to endowed scholarships are invested, with a portion of the interest awarded each year, so that they provide scholarship assistance in perpetuity. Endowed scholarships are opportunities to honor a family or corporate name, memorialize a loved one, or commemorate a special event.

The minimum level to endow a scholarship at Nazareth University is $25,000. With careful planning, a gift this size is possible for almost anyone. Our staff is willing to work with you and/or your financial adviser to design a plan for giving that meets your financial needs.

  • Endowment gifts can be given through cash, securities or stock, a bequest, or other planned gift, or a combination of gifts.
  • Payment on $25,000 gifts toward endowments can be spread over a period of up to five years.
  • Classmates, family members, or friends can also join together to establish a scholarship — making endowing a scholarship more affordable.

For more information on how you can fund an endowed scholarship, or add to an existing one to serve more students, please contact the Office of Advancement.
